This is the story of how we saved St Andrews care homes money, how we increased their levels of service at no extra cost, gave them free advice on the legalities of storage and disposal of their waste and how, by doing this we gave them peace of mind.
Mrs Chris Ryan at St. Andrews Care Homes had a problem in that the number of bags being collected from his homes seemed very high for the actual bed count. Because the bags were being collected at 5 o’clock in the morning there was no one around to sign the waste transfer notes for him. This made it very difficult to verify whether the actual number of bags for which he was invoiced was indeed the number collected.
We were able to supply a bin which only holds a set number of ¾ full bags, this means Chris knows exactly how many bags we have collected… not that it matters, of course, since he pays a flat fee for our emptying the bin on each site visit - the number of bags collected is immaterial.
Unlike many of our competitors, we call during normal working hours because that way, customers like Chris can see the whole process in greater detail. Even better for Chris, he doesn’t have to worry about any hidden extra charges from us. Our up-front price is all inclusive so he knows exactly how much our service costs him each month and can manage his budget accordingly.
