Agreeing the details:
Once you have agreed to our competitively priced quotation, we will ask you to sign our yearly service agreement. This will be tailored to your needs rather than ours and because of this, we will not tie you in for three years or more, you can cancel any time. Although, since we are committed to providing the best possible service to all our customers, that seldom happens.
Setting up the service:
Now you have signed up, we will give you a provisional date to set up your service and install any equipment required. Our usual lead time for this is 7-10 working days, although, in cases of extreme urgency we can often reduce that time.
Before installation of your bin or service is complete you will receive our waste note service folder. This is free and is an important part of our service to you. Every time we visit your premises we will leave you a waste transfer note. It is extremely important that you keep these as they are proof to the Environment Agency of England and Wales that you are abiding by current legislation for the safe storage and disposal of sanitary and clinical waste. You are legally obliged to keep the notes for two years and we will keep a copy on your behalf for seven. The folder allows you to file your waste transfer notes safely and easily in one place.
How the service works:
If you are using our sanitary bin service we will provide you with a brand-new, foot pedal operated unit with a liner inside. We will then service that unit 13 times per year.
What our staff do when they service your sanitary bins: Our operator enters your premises, makes your staff aware of their presence and – if applicable – signs in as required. They then visit each wash room containing a sanitary bin, replace the liner, cleanse and sanitise the unit inside and out and check the bin to make sure it is working properly. The waste inside the liner is placed inside our operative’s specially designed modesty bag before leaving the washroom to service the next unit.
When the servicing is finished our operative will log any repairs required to any of the bins and complete a waste transfer note detailing the date and what type of waste is being collected. They will sign the document, get a member of your staff to countersign it and give you a copy for your records.
What happens to your waste after it leaves your site: Upon removal from your site, the waste is taken under licence to one of 4 incineration plants at various sites around the country and incinerated to HM Government standards.
How we dispose of clinical waste:
Our clinical waste service is broadly similar in that each unit we provide is brand new – we will also provide a lockable unit if you need one. Once again, our operative will make your staff aware of their presence and each unit will be emptied in turn. Fresh (empty) bags are placed into each emptied and sanitized bin.
Our service is different from that of many others in that we charge by the bin rather than the bag. We will provide you with standard bags to use and a bin which is designed to hold a set number of them, for example; 50 half full, 25 full, 75 quarter full. The beauty of this system is that the cost is the same each week, since you pay a set price for the bin to be emptied rather than a price per bag. If you find your bin is too big, you can adjust the size at any time and we will reduce the price accordingly. You can also order extra or larger bins if you find you have underestimated the amount of waste your organisation produces.
Again, we will sign a waste transfer note detailing date and classification of waste taken which we will ask you to countersign before providing you with a copy to put into your waste note folder.
The actual service procedures for both these types of waste disposal are covered in our agreed price. There are no hidden extra costs; no disposal charges and waste notes are free. The only thing that will change the price is if you change the number or size of bins. Otherwise the price is fixed and that means you can fix your budget for the year and know your waste disposal costs are completely covered.
Summary
Because we are committed to quality, we confidently offer a complete refund for the remaining time of your agreement if you decide to cancel. There no ties with us.Search
